In Burgundy, the know-how is also transmitted from father to daughter ! Estelle is the 5th generation of winegrowers in Auxey-Duresses. Michel Prunier, her father, founded his own estate in 1968 with the help of his wife. Now, they grow 30 acres together.

1949 white Auxey-Duresses ! A wine made by my grand-father, my mother’s birth year, open to celebrate her 60th birthday.

Your best wine-related encounter
My encounter with Mr Phillip Jones, winegrower in Gippsland, Australia, a great Burgundy enthusiast and lover. I worked for him for the 2003 picking.

Your funniest anecdote
The funniest anecdote happened during this trip in Australia. I was an intern at Phillip Jones’, the biggest burgundy fan amongst all the Australians I have met. He had a perfect knowledge of Burgundy wines and terroirs. He even had a picture of Mrs Bize Leroy hanging in his office ! And seeing the portrait of a woman who lives in my village, 20,000 kms away from Auxey-Duresses, amazed me !!!

The Volnay premier cru " les Caillerets" because its tannins are fine and silky.
