The estate in a few words
Château de Béru, a historical estate owned by the family for more than 400 years, stands out from the vines with a view on one of the most charming hill slopes of Chablis area, in the village of Béru.
Château de Béru grows 34,60 acres of vines in the heart of Chablis’ vineyard including a unique "terroir", le clos béru, surrounded by historical separation walls from the 13th century, as well as Chablis’ most beautiful "terroirs" under Chablis and Chablis Premier cru designations.
Laurence de Béru and her daughter Athénaïs, hold the reins of this vineyard, and have undertaken a series of qualitative steps in order to give a new inspiration to the family estate. Château de Béru aims at moving toward organic viticulture so as to reveal and respect their unique "terroirs", especially le Clos Béru vineyard plot. These efforts are starting to bear fruit in recent vintages produced by Athénaïs and her team, since she took over in 2004.
