This second “WOMEN OF WINE" event, will take place at the Palais des Congrès Bordeaux-Lac on Monday, June 20th from 3-6pm. An invitation from 95 women wine makers to taste their wines !

The ‘Women of Wine" circle was created in 2009 by two determined and passionate women winemakers: Chantal Pégaz in Beaujolais, and Marie Laurence Saladin in Côtes du Rhône.

Their on-going resolve is to change the current situation where wine appears to be playing an ever declining role in today’s French lifestyle.

The passion. Since society has given women the role of communication and education, why not share the experience and maximise the benefit for everyone? Why not try responding to the loss of certain values and life styles in our society? This is exactly what the Association of Women of Wine does.

These women, happy and fulfilled in their work, each have a story, a mission. These "Daughters, Women of or Business women from different backgrounds.” are “creators of wine, following their dreams !”

They organise themselves into Regional Associations and known nationally as "Women of Wine". Each regional association organises numerous events to maintain their enthusiasm and publicise their craft. In order to illustrate the education part, they have decided to open up their estates, throughout France, to primary school children on certain dates. This will be the National Day of the Women of Wine..

On this occasion women winemakers of the Southwest, Champagne and Touraine are welcomed.
