Domaine Marc Roy in a few words
The estate’s adventure started thanks to some vineyard plots belonging to the grand-father Marc. Thanks to the passion and energy of these winegrower generations, the little family estate now consists of 9.88 acres, with 8.65 acres of pinot noir to make the prestigious Gevrey-Chambertin. And 1.23 acre of Chardonnay to make a rare Marsannay white "Les Champs Perdrix". The production is entirely sold in bottles, reaching 20,000 bottles a year.
The estate’s philosophy is to make authentic and elegant "terroir" wines. Therefore, the vines are carefully trained all year long, and the yields are limited so as to produce grapes of great quality. Winemaking techniques, very traditional (including punching down the cap with the feet), are adapted according to the vintage and the grape. At the end of the winemaking process, the wines are matured in casks for one year, before the bottling at the estate.
