Women have a place of honour at "le chapitre des roses" in Clos de Vougeot on May 29th 2010

"Le Chapitre des roses" is a traditional event in which woman has a place of honour. The wine brotherhood of The Chevaliers du Tastevin decided to associate with the Femmes et Vins de Bourgogne association, so they can get a grasp on this "Chapitre" organized every year in May, at the Clos de Vougeot castle. On saturday may 29th 2010, there will be around twenty women at the Clos’ prestigious hall to highlight the role of woman in viticulture.

The pupils of David Niepce Junior High school honour the winegrower women

Virginie Taupenot-Daniel and Béatrice Dubois accepted an interview with 8th grade pupils at David Niepce Junior High, in Sennecey-le-Grand. Thanks to this article highlighting the Femmes et Vins de Bourgogne association, the pupils won the first prize of a contest organized by ONISEP (department of the french ministry of education) called "Des mots pour un métier", for their documentary on winegrower women. They won the first national prize and a journey for their work, congratulations to them!

The Women of wine (UK) invited by Femmes et vins de Bourgogne

On April 25th 2009, the women of Femmes et vins de Bourgogne were host to the women of WOW (Women of Wine), to taste the wines represented within the association: Chablis, Montagny, Mercurey, Rully, Saint-Romain, Auxey-Duresses, Beaune, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vosne-Romanée… An opportunity for these British women, huge Burgundy wine enthusiasts, to spend some time with the women who make these beautiful wines. The evening ended with a lovely dinner at  Marc Gantier’s Caveau des Arches in Beaune.
